Week of March 13th - March 17th
Dear families, Happy St Patrick's Day! Students have been working hard on finishing up their Iroquois Unit this week. The students will have their test on Monday and have a concept map they did for review to hand in with it! Next we will be looking at the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. In science, students have been making experiments with mixtures and mixing/separating mixtures. We are discussing reversible/irreversible changes and chemical changes next week! I hope the more hands on approach has been helping cement the ideas they are learning this unit. For Grade 6 math, students have finished up ratios and will be wrapping up their fraction, decimal, percent and ratios unit on Monday. We will be moving in algebra next, I hope they are excited! Grade 5's have been working on fractions and equivalent fractions and will be exploring the relationship between fractions and decimals. BOOK CLUBS!
